Hello and welcome back my darlings.  Are you around Toronto? Let me hear your shout out to
-still in summer weather- yeeh! This is unbelievable. We are still wearing shorts and summer dresses. Let’s hope winter will not make us pay for all this good weather.

I went to watch my oldest son play football in school this week. As you know I am a mother of three boys and a football mom as they all play. At the end of the victory game, my son introduced me to some of his team mates. They were so tickled and couldn’t believe I was old enough to be his mom. I was all dressed down in my skinny ripped jeans and a hat. I totally aced it, looking the part of the cool and trendy soccer mom. It was great fun!!

So this week I decided to talk shoes people. After my birthday post,(here) I received some personal messages wanting to know about my shoes. Well the truth of the matter is that I just love shoes (more than I love clothes perhaps) but I am still a bargain hunter. Typically, I go for what I like but at bargain prices. I usually don’t shop ‘New Arrivals’ and I target lots of off seasons goodies for the coming season.

We have a very small window of opportunity to make a first impression. Once people meet you, they assess your face, smile, grooming, shoes, the overall outfit before rounding back to the face.
Your shoes say a lot about you. Are you well groomed? Do you have taste? Are you classy, educated, fashion conscious, or do you care about the image you project?  Your shoes speak volumes about your social standing and how fat (or lean) your pocket book is.

Trust me fellas, once you step out, Y.O.U.R  S.H.O.E.S.  T.A.L.K.  I spend more time and money on my shoes and bags than I do on clothes because your shoes are the final score card on who you are.
So my friends, what do your shoes say about you?

In future posts, I will be talking about different shoes types and style and how they represent your individual personality.

This navy dress is a 1950 Vintage look dress conveying the ‘Little Lost Girl Look’. added some handmade jewelry to the neckline and embroidered designs on the dress..
I love fitted tops like this dress as they show off my toned body to perfection. The dress is kind of short but how do you kiss the summer goodbye except with one or two dresses?

Oh my gosh! And those shoes! In case you haven’t guessed, they are Gianmarco Lorenzi’s signature high heels………….What a BLAST!

THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY, AND HAVE A BLAST

Hello lovelies and welcome back to KV blog.
How has your week been?
I finally sent the kids back to school and I just love ‘the face’ of September!
It’s my thanks giving and birth month. My birthday celebrations started from the first of this month. I have been indulging a little bit and paying the price at LA fitness people.

Talking about gifts flying from across the Atlantic, I can’t be thankful enough for my loved ones and their caring. I am so looking forward to finishing up my birthday celebration next month in a much warmer climate, just to give myself a little respite from the fall weather that’s already creeping in over here in Canada.

Well, moving on to the most exciting topic……..The Look.

I chose this amazing long sleeve black dress, that’s been hanging in my closet for a while still with tags on. As a fashion blogger, it’s easy to lose track of stuff in your closet at times. Lots of clothes come in from all over and you simply have to keep on top of the show. So here we go with this cute number.
This is my ‘little black dress’ albeit non conventional, but every woman has a favorite little black dress. Here’s how I styled this one…….I picked up these pink and silver hair clips from a liquidation store for $5 but really was not sure what to do with it, so I decided to add some color to this outfit and make it stand out a bit more. I used the hair clips on my hair but did you notice that I switched them over to double as faux buttons?
The collar on this number is a conversation piece, people.  It is adorned with these exquisite silver appliques with the formal look black neck tie laced with pink, conveying a very demure and graceful look. The top of the outfit is fitted but the rest falls somewhat loose and stops just short of the knee.

The strappy pink n’ silver platform sandals are Erdem by Nicholas Kirkwood and are so ooh la la! They are simply glamorous and take the outfit up to a different level to achieve the look that set my pocket book back a hefty sum! They are also a super comfy fit. I love Erdem shoes because they are very comfortable while exuding serious high fashion and drama; attributes you don’t necessarily find together in shoes! I could walk a mile in those any day!

To further enhance the accessories, I added the silver clutch purse and printed my initials ‘KV’ in pink on the sleeve cuffs. What a bomb!

An absolutely delectable and gorgeous
‘Happy Birthday from me to you with love ………..KV!!

Welcome back again! I am really excited this month because I have so many things lined up. First off, my birthday comes up this month but I have no celebration plans…..yet. All I can say is that I have started counting down!
September is here, the harbinger of the winter months and a gentle reminder that the fun and sunshine will soon be over. I am missing the summer already. But guess what, you have to get past the winter to get to summer again, right? Don’t you love dressing up in winter layers? I don't but we don't have a choice and so let’s just embrace fall and the coming winter and own and enjoy the weather, whichever it happens to be. I never have winter blues because I create the right attitude towards winter. Lovely winter clothes, boots, snow, wood fires in the family room, Christmas smells everywhere. I just own it!

It’s been busy like you can never imagine. There is definitely no short  cut to success I can tell you that for no money.
This week I received an amazing offer from a Bridal store in the UK so I am showcasing some off season Bridal and Bridesmaids dresses on my blog. Yeeh!

Okay Lovelies, moving on to the most interesting part……fashion
I picked up this amazing white pencil dress a couple of months back when I was in the UK. I just couldn’t resist it. I totally forgot it at the back of my closet. You know the No White After Labor Day Rule? Well, that rule is kind of out the window these days as white and beautiful colors are all trending on the fashion scene this fall. I really like the stretchy fabric and the way it hugs my body without being too clingy. It has this naughty sheer panel in front of the stomach that gives you a tiny glimpse of the stomach area. You have to hit your gym big time my friends like I do before you can dare wear this outfit and hope to rock it. Body shapers will help but as you know, they can only do so much.

I love scarfs. After clothes, shoes, bags and jewelry, my next love is scarves and I have quite a collection! Two drawers full of the stuff! So I started pulling them out! White and blue always makes a classic combination but make sure to make it more interesting and mysterious by adding a little bit of color like I have done with the scarf.  I did not wear a necklace because that would mar the classic high cut neckline of the dress. I played around with the scarf, draped it around my neck, trailed it on my purse…..you can do anything you please with the scarf.

Ooh boy! Don’t you just feel good when you dress well? What can I say guys except much love and
